Taoglas Opens New Test Chambers in San Diego and Ireland and Unveils New Antenna for the M2M Market
At CTIA, Taoglas (www.taoglas.com) will announce the opening of two new CTIA-approved test chambers for machine-to-machine (M2M) antenna services in San Diego and in Ireland. The test chamber in Ireland is the first of it’s kind in Europe and Taoglas will coordinate with European Union-funded R&D projects for LTE from this lab. In both locations, M2M manufacturers now have a designated resource for antenna design and RF debug testing that cuts down on design time, increases performance of products, makes sure devices are ready for certification and maximizes chances of first-time approval with quicker time to market. These new test chambers will enable Taoglas customers to accomplish in two days to two weeks what would take six to 12 months working alone.
Also, at CTIA, Taoglas will unveil it’s newest antenna, the FXP.830 a powerful, flexible antenna with 80% efficiency for the M2M wireless device and module market. Tim Dolan, Director of Sales for Taoglas in North America sums up how good the FXP.830 is when he says: “I’ve worked in the module space for many years and I’ve never seen anything like the FXP.830. In this market, antennas are usually made of PCB material requiring customers to devise some type of unique mounting scheme, or, external antennas which are prone to breaking off. The FXP.830 is a tiny, dual band, flexible, 3dBi gain antenna that solves all the issues. Customers are amazed with the performance of this device and how easy it is to peel and stick the antenna for mounting. It is the best dual-band antenna in the market.”
