Davra Networks bets on RunBook Automation at Cisco Live Las Vegas July 2011

Davra Networks founded by networking veteran Paul Glynn (Ex CEO of Crannog software) and funded by AIB Seed Fund and Enterprise Ireland launches into the US market by showcasing its flagship solution RuBAN (Run Book Automation For Networks) at Cisco Live in Las Vegas in July 2011.

With over 10,000 participates Cisco Live is the premier industry Networking Event.  Davra Networks is a registered Cisco Development partner and its solution RuBAN has completed interoperability testing with Cisco and is Cisco Certified.

Just last month Davra signed and official Distribution contract with Atlantic BDP which is headquartered in RTP North Carolina.

“Network Management and Monitoring is a space I know intimately but Automation is really where things are going today, the US market will love RuBAN”, stated Paul Glynn CEO Davra Networks.

Openmind Says VoIP Callers Talk more than Twice as Long as Mobile Phone Users

Openmind Networks (www.openmindnetworks.com) releasednews recently that points to an interesting market trend for the online calling market.  Openmind found that subscribers of its mobile VoIP and messaging solution, Portico are talking on average, over two and a half (2.5) times longer than the average mobile voice call.  This trend is significant as it points to valuable revenue opportunities for mobile operators as they compete with Skype and other over-the-top service providers.   The study was carried out amongst Portico users from April 22nd through April 25th, 2011 over the Easter weekend.  In one market, Openmind found that callers spoke over four times longer than average normal mobile phone calls in that market!

American Rural Cellular Association Members Learn from Tango Telecom

Enterprise Ireland client Tango Telecom (www.tangotelecom.com) will be at the Rural Cellular Association (RCA) Convention in Las Vegas this week to showcase it’s solution for mid-tier carriers in the U.S.  Tango Telecom helps telcos of all sizes to charge in real-time for data roaming and also implement policy control management and minimize subscriber bill shock.    U.S. RCA members will now be looking closely at how they can monetize data roaming following a recent ruling by the FCC.  Tango Telecom has been working successfully with carriers all over the world in this area for many years.  At the RCA convention, Tango Telecom announced a deployment with a mid-tier APAC telecom, which will be an interesting initiative for the RCA members to watch.
