Enterprise Ireland client Terminalfour has signed a contract to provide an Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS) to New York-based SUNY Empire State College.
The deal, believed to be worth more than €100,000, will see Terminalfour supply its Site Manager software to help improve online facilities for students and staff.
Empire State College is a multi-site institution that is focused on mature and distant learners.
Its courses are provided to 18,000 students in 35 locations in the state of New York and six international sites, including the Lebanon, Czech Republic, the Dominican Republic and Greece. Read the rest of this entry »

Enterprise Ireland congratulates Sproxil (http://www.sproxil.com/) for being named winner of the Boston IBM SmartCamp Event. IBM’s SmartCamp is a global program being held in seven cities around the world in 2010. The program culminates with one selected company from each city being invited to SmartCamp week in Dublin (Ireland) in November. There one will be named “The World’s Smartest Start-up”.
Enterprise Ireland is keen to talk to high tech entrepreneurs who are interested in setting up part of their business in Ireland. Enterprise Ireland is working with IBM and will be delighted to welcome the winners to Dublin for finals week in November.
Final winners will be offered an Incentive Package to give them the opportunity to spend 3 months in Dublin to explore the advantages of setting up a part of their business in Ireland. The package includes financial support in the region of €20,000 and a mentor support programme provided by top class highly experienced entrepreneurs and business people and access to incubation space.

Five start-ups have been selected as finalists in the Boston IBM SmartCamp event. Each company (Sendsor, SkyMeter, Proxpro, Sproxil, and GIS Cloud) will do their final presentation on June 3rd after spending a day networking with 25 world-class entrepreneurs, investors and industry experts.

Thursday, May 20, 2010: Green technology produced by Irish company Nualight, a leader in LED Lighting for food retail merchandising, is to be implemented across Tesco stores in the UK and USA.
The deal will be worth up to €5 million to Nualight in 2010, growing by up to €10 million by 2013. On the back of the deal, Cork-based Nualight is to create 25 new jobs including graduate export positions to add to the 55 currently employed, with employment likely to grow to 80 in the next two years.
The announcement, which was made in Dublin between Sir Terry Leahy, the Chief Executive of Tesco, Mr Tony Keohane, the CEO of Tesco Ireland and Mr Liam Kelly, the CEO of Nualight, was also welcomed by Mr Batt O’Keeffe TD, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Innovation. Read the rest of this entry »
